02 · The course
Waterfront views. One honest hill.
Both routes leave Beacon Pier on closed harbor roads. The 10K adds a shaded park loop and the course's only climb before rejoining the 5K route for a wide, straight finish.

Aid, toilets, and timing

- 10K starts at 08:00 and has a hard 10:00 cutoff (2 hours; 19:19 per mile).
- 5K is 5,000 meters / 3.1 miles, starts at 08:20, and has a hard 09:35 cutoff (75 minutes).
- Kids dash is 400 meters, starts at 09:45, and finishes by 10:00.

Free parking is available at North Harbor Garage, a 9-minute signed walk from the start. Accessible spaces and drop-off are at Pier Gate B.
Harbor Line trains arrive at Harborline Central at 6:42, 7:02, and 7:22 AM. Bikes are welcome in the staffed corral.
Gear + accessibility
Use the clear bag from packet pickup; gear check closes and the event ends at 10:30 AM. Strollers start at the back of the 5K. Service animals are welcome.

Can I switch distances or transfer my entry?
In this fictional policy, distance changes are free through October 8, 2027 when space remains. Transfers cost $5 and close October 1, 2027. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred.
What happens in bad weather?
The synthetic event runs in rain. Organizers would delay or cancel for lightning, unsafe air quality, or public-safety direction and would post updates here and by email.
Are headphones, dogs, and strollers allowed?
One-ear audio and strollers are allowed; stroller participants start at the back of the 5K. Pets are not allowed, except trained service animals.
Is the course accessible?
The 5K route is paved and step-free. The 10K includes a packed path with a short 5% grade. The fictional access team can coordinate guides and other reasonable accommodations when contacted by October 8, 2027.
